Nurburgring 2019
Discussion
I've booked the Skylimits day on the 9th of July. I've done plenty of TF but it's my first track day at the 'Ring.
Having read the topic about banning race cars on track I'm a bit nervous as it's right before a VLN race and I suspect I'm going to be sharing the track with some quite exotic machinery.

DN dates already up now also looking at the Circuit days double in apr havent been on one of their events before how do the measure up to DN? Seriously considering the Ringmeisters Prime in July as the last two times I've done the DN double events at end of Sep and only had one good weather day at each...at this point given I only do one trip a yr I'd rather have a higher change of nice sunny weather so July appeals even tho it's more costly.

The sky limits events are really well run. There usually is a mix of everything from e36’s right thru to top end gt2’s. Race cars are not uncommon but mainly tin tops from vln. As with most track days at the ring there is always a the majority of cars/drivers that only drive the ring so the cars are built for the place are are clinically quick. Keep a good eye on your mirrors but don’t lose track of what’s going on up front of you.Having read the topic about banning race cars on track I'm a bit nervous as it's right before a VLN race and I suspect I'm going to be sharing the track with some quite exotic machinery.

I instruct for circuit days at the ring and spa. As of a few days ago the April dates were almost sold out. Be quick if you are serious.C70R said:

I figured as much. I'm not too bothered about a few race cars as a well-driven GT2-RS is as fast as most race cars around there anyway and I'm used to getting out of the way of those. But I've heard Skylimit days are well run so I think I'll have a great time. Stopping half way round to fill up with 102 at Breidscheid will be interesting.
Most trackdays the exit at breidscheid is closed but fot emergency vehicles.Kev_Mk3 said:

Roy how much is instruction for april off the top of your head may look at it to hone my lines a littlePurely off the top of my head 100£ an hour rings a bell. But obviously half day and full day has benefits cost wise.
Look on CD website I’m sure details must be there or ping Chris an email at CD to be sure of prices.
Some guys also book an instructor as a group so they can split the cost and make the most of the instructors knowledge and time.

I paid £250 for a half day. I hopefully will be with Andy again as we got on great last time. If anyone sees the stupid Corvette powered E46 M3 pop over and say hi. Always interested to put faces to forum names! Gary Woodland said:
