I'm using CL rc6e's on my FK2 typeR (road going form; 1.4ton). only pads i've found that i haven't cooked 'em after 15min full on hot laps @ Abingdon & Donington. Definitely competition grade that'll cope with the abuse of trackdays. no idea on the rc5's but the 6e's are not for road as they'll eat your discs.
are you aware CL can cut pads to any application? assuming your pad will fit inside a donor pad, then supply them a pattern and they'll cut it for you. i think they charge itr of £30, but could be wrong.
ran typ200 fluid for the last 2yrs, although this year i'll be chucking in RBF600 as it was on offer when i bought. more to compare as they both get rave reviews on track.
Carbotech UK have the same service where they are able to cut a pad for pretty much any caliper. Is the CL service based in the UK or somewhere else as I'd love to give them a try.are you aware CL can cut pads to any application? assuming your pad will fit inside a donor pad, then supply them a pattern and they'll cut it for you. i think they charge itr of £30, but could be wrong.

Only problem is that one of the mr2 pads is just a normal pad and the other has a metal brake wear thingy attached to that so I wonder if that would be a problem.

I'm sure it will look amazing when finished but I've never understood the desire to make a track focused car pretty when its going to be subjected to all sorts of nastiness on track
It’s had all new fibreglass panels, metal cut out, bits welded and the glass removed so it needs protecting from rust at the very least so it might as well get painted. Whether I do it on the cheap or properly, it still needs doing. Can’t drive around in some unpainted windowless M3, would look and feel like a right nob.Not sure what nastiness you’ve had on track but in the 6 years I’ve been doing track days I’ve had 1 cracked windscreen

I'm guessing that's referring to stone chips, hitting cones and ruining a panel, things like that. Did your windscreen crack while on track?
Meh, stone chips are stone chips. Worse things happen on the road with the state of them. I remember driving back from the detailers after having my R35 GTR wrapped and ceramic coated, hit a pothole on the motorway and bent the wheel.Cracked the windscreen on track as a Porsche cup car went wide at Donington coming out of McLean's and threw a load of gravel up the front of the car. Cracked windscreen, chipped bonnet, headlight and front bumper.
If you're not close enough you're not having enough fun

Excellent - always loved Dijon. Nearly did a double header there, with Day 2 run in the opposite direction !! Unfortunately that got canned the evening before Day2 so it ran clockwise again.
Out of interest, which TDO did you use at Dijon ? I've not spotted anything advertised there for years....
Opposite direction would be quite an experience and like learning a track all over again! Downhill into Parabolique could be interesting!Out of interest, which TDO did you use at Dijon ? I've not spotted anything advertised there for years....
I've been there with a small semi-private organiser - Parabolica Events - lower volume, higher driving experience, etc.
