Classic Car Hire - Which Companies?

I want to get my Dad a driving experience in a classic car such as a Jag MK2 or Austin Healey 3000 for his 70th. I don't want an event where there are crowds of people waiting on a conveyor belt to drive round a circuit with some guy sitting in the passenger seat telling you how fast to go, what gear to use and all that st. I want a private experience on a public road where he can enjoy the drive and perhaps a conversation with someone who knows about the car.

I've seen a couple of providers who offer this such as Great Escape Cars - does anyone have any recommendations or warnings?
