I need to fit my RS29s this weekend. What did you do with the pad wear sensors, cable tie them?

I cable tied them but you can just refit too, backplate is same shape. The whole job was really easy and quick. I’d probably just refit when wheels come off again, cable tied based on a YouTube guide but not really necessary. Used a thin Allen key to drift out pins.

Let me know how you get on with the 29’s, which track? Have you tracked with your original factory pads?

Bedford Autodrome. This is my first time tracking the M4 but have zero faith in the OEM pads. If they don't crumble, they'll smear deposits all over the discs and take a while to clean off.

I'm also waiting on some RBF660 to arrive and I'll get a garage to flush the current brake fluid out (seems a shame as the car is 2000 miles old but another weak spot).

Hope you enjoy it mate! Brakes pads are a good move - was really surprised how weak the M2's were, you can clearly see the chunking on originals and they felt rubbish on the day very quickly. Have been perfectly fine for normal driving afterwards.

My next track day is Castle Combe but not until early Sept.

First time tracking since early 2000's !!!!! time flies !!!!! I did quite a lot up north, elvingdon in particular, first in a Honda S2000 then a 996.1 - Loved that Honda, pads did well on both, rear tyres shredded on both!

Feels like I might be doing more of this as reeeally enjoyed Combe and eldest is nearly 17 and keen to join in!
