Guys, quick question.. the Sabine thing.. is it just a case of turn up, pay your money (how much?) and off you go or do you have to book...?

Also, is the ring always open or just at weekends.. how do you find out when it is closed?

Never been, but building upto it!!!!

You have to sign up to be informed, when one of the small contingents of tickets are released. They're always overbooked. (Follow the link to the Ring Taxi which leads you to BMW Motorsport).

On 'Touristenfahrten', you'll find dates for public driving.

alternatively, just rock up early at the BMW booth in the main car park and slap your name down on the reserve list. About 10 people got rides in 1's and 2's on saturday due to cancellations (prob due to the weather forecast) - how wrong the forecaster's were!!!

Great pics, do you have the hi-res version of the Blue Elise. We were there on the same day with the two Blue Elises, Cerbera, Black TypeR, Red MR2 Turbo, Fezza 348 and a couple of Bikes.

Nigel in the Cerb was probally taking it easy after a high speed 720! seemed to slow a bit after that.

But as you say absolute top day.

Umlauts don't work in URLs. Best bet is to use just a plain "u" or if the site is owned by Germans a "ue" which is the proper alternative to "ü".

Looks like your friend was having a good time.
Tell him to a). GET INTO THE KARUSELL
and b). GET HIS HAIR CUT

In fairness to the guy in the 348, the noses of some cars will ground out in the K., and he may have been worried that his would do the same.
He should focus on the haircut, and on trading that thing in for a German or British car.

ahem. This not entirely right. Umlaut domains are available (at least it Germany). Try copy and paste the address I wrote into your browser adress bar. You will be automatically diverted to the ascii (?) domain name http://xn--nrburgring-9db.de/

Heh. We saw a 456 give its nose a good SKKKEEE-RAAAAAPPP in the Karusell, so I can't really blame the guy for not wanting to utterly muller what is his pride and joy. The Ferrari t-shirt was a bit of overkill though.
