A couple of years ago I was at Bedford and a young lad turned up in a very standard looking 1.4 polo. OEM ride height, standard wheels with road tyres, standard exhaust, original interior. And it was incredibly, ridiculously, fast though all the bends. Pitlane garage rumour said the driver was a new palmer sport instructor learning the circuit.
