Nürburgring in 2022
Discussion
I generally enjoyed it although I think I only did about 12-13 laps in the end. I thought driving standards were generally pretty good, people looking in their mirrors and indicating which is an absolute rarity on TF.
I was surprised by the number of accidents throughout the day though. What was it, a total of five cars binned?
I think I'd like to do one of the Ringmeisters Prime days or one of the normal DN days as people tend to bring more exotic machinery and therefore aren't as willing to go for the Golden Pineapple.

12-13 was all I managed at last DN. Was willing and quite prepared to do more, we’re there fewer interruptions.I was surprised by the number of accidents throughout the day though. What was it, a total of five cars binned?

Ditto your comments about Ringmeisters Prime. That or a Manthey Porsche day. Both spendy but fewer cars and a different sort of driver perhaps.

Hi chaps,
Heading over next week (as part of road trip), is it convenient to buy the TF ticket on the day?
Yeah that’s what we did back in June. The ticket office is the other side of the roundabout at the track entrance. Very easy and only took a couple of mins, if that. Heading over next week (as part of road trip), is it convenient to buy the TF ticket on the day?

Thanks! Yes just gonna see what the weather is like on the day and how busy it is. Staying at Tiergarten so only a short walk.

Great two days at DN
Very varied in terms of weather, and incidents, although no red flags over the two daysAnd I got a PAX ride in Nige's Golf at last, what a Jeckyll & Hyde machine that is
Mine decided that it was a bit tired after a day a Spa the week before, but still managed to give a few people PAX rides

Nige's mad Golf was my first ever laps of the circuit. Not been in the car since, but he's promised to let me sample it when we next meet. It being the Trigger's Broom of track cars, I expect significant improvements.

I’m instructing on this event.
I might be interested in having some instruction, I've been going for years but never had any. What are your credentials and how do I get in touch?
Cheers
PS - just re-read that and it didn't come across well (re: credentials), I'm hoping you know what I mean!

I didn't realise you were sitting quite THAT low in the passenger seat And I got a PAX ride in Nige's Golf at last, what a Jeckyll & Hyde machine that is

Thanks to the guys who said they'd read my reports on here before and were asking why I hadn't posted any this year. I'm on with it.
As Paul said, weather was hit and miss but no red flags over 2 days was a credit to everyone who was driving on the event.
I hope "Jekyll and Hyde" is a good thing

11 years full time experience of instructing at Spa and Nurburgring in cars (my 2 local circuits).
Instructing at Nurburgring almost every day of the season.
Author of the official (Nurburgring gmbh approved) guide to driving the Nordschleife.
Contact Chris at Circuit-days to book instruction on the event. I know we are busy with instruction on the 14th but there may be a slot available.
