I'd say people who crash into other people, or barriers are more dangerous? Poor car control, poor lines, driving beyond their ability?

I am none of these things.
You're all of those things laugh

I think the OP feels he is an undiscovered racing hero. The very first post was “I was in a slow car but still I was too fast”. It was clearly a very novice track day and you need to give novices a lot of room.

On a higher ability day you could be more aggressive and racy but you wouldn’t be catching other cars as they would be going much quicker.

The OP driving did not look particularly skilled or quick….just quicker than the novices and the TDO was right to. Give a cool it warning before a novice got t boned.

Any driver that thinks they are a track day driving god can be assured that they most likely are not at all.
KELLERMAN: Yes sir, no sir, It's just I am so fast and they are all so slow!!!

PITLANE MARSHAL: Haha! But no seriously be nice (I can't wait to chequer this day and go home so I don't have to deal with this insufferable cocksocket)

The move at 3:10 deserves to get you black flagged alone if not throwing off

At 8:40 the pass on the BMW, again , appalling, and you do the same pass later on the 911, at around 10:15

At 10:26 you dive down the inside of the Clio

11:05 you dive into the chicane to go past the Alfa who no doubt spotted you in the mirrors and saved both of your cars

Agreed those moves were shocking, looked more like a touring car race than a trackday, overtaking cars going into a corner, then, cutting across them as you go into the apex, I am amazed they let you stay on at all.

I'd have black flagged you for listening to that god awful music while driving on track.

Do everyone a favour, go and do something properly competitive. You'll soon realise that you're not really that talented.

I've decided a slower car is needed. I'm going to track a 2004 VW Sharan 1.9 tdi and see how I get on in that.
Why? You're the epitome of the kind of driver I'd expect in the car you have.

As another poster has said: this is why I don't particularly want to go on TDs.

I don't profess to be a track day expert, however, the evidence from the video along with everything OP has written and their inability to listen and absorb comments and criticism leads me to believe that the 'Driven by a bellend' option was ticked on the Audi options list.

Thanks for the feedback

3 abreast isn't in the rules, or briefing. TC was switched off fully. You nor I could drive that car round that track with hands at 10 & 2.
They should be at quarter to three, that is why!

That wouldn't work either.

Long ratio steering, tight track... not all of us have decent cars.

Agreed with both of you - quite honestly if you'd come past me like that I'd be having a word in the pits about your stty attitude.

I haven't done a day with Javelin at Anglesey, but I can't imagine the briefing rules are different to this:

The only thing I agree with the OP about is that a lot of quick cars were being driven very slowly there... Which seems odd. But that's no excuse to go at it thinking you're Mansell.

It's odd people are assuming the track was full of newbies. The odds of all of those cars being newbies are slim to none. In my experience on track I'm overtaken once or maybe twice for every 100 overtakes. I can't be that slow.

I've never professed to being a driving god either. I just seem to be able to drive any slow car quicker than practically anyone else in fast cars. Don't really care if people don't like that fact for whatever reason. As somebody on Facebook said, it's a lot of sore egos, being passed by a shed in front of your mates / Mrs.

Quoted for posterity!

They're clearly driving incredibly slowly in most cases, do you really think that you're so talented to be able to pedal a diesel Audi estate faster than a 911 GT3 with a driver who knows even half way what they're doing?

OP, if I saw you on track, or anyone with your driving style, I would instantly let off. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near you. I can't speak for others, but I would think they are thinking the same.

If you want to take TDs more seriously, I would invest in driver training. I think some of your line choices are okay, but your etiquette is completely wrong. TDs aren't racing and overtaking doesn't make you a better driver.

Also, not for one second, should you think you're faster than a GT3 RS. Clearly matey was taking it steady, which when driving a 150k + car, I think I would do as well.

As a side note - your mate has a very annoying laugh laugh

A few years ago I was passenger on the Ring in a 997 turbo, with a fairly competent driver. We were overtaken by a Saab estate.

It does happen. Some people are incredibly gifted.

The inference being that you must be incredibly gifted, no?

Another good few examples here in what I assume is your regular track car.

Zoom right up behind the GR Yaris just over the minute mark, then harass him while he's trying to pass the classic E-type (presumably on cross-ply historic tyres and taking it steady as it's probably worth a fortune). You can't even be bothered to follow them down Craners and out the Old Hairpin properly before you start hammering the high-beams. The GRY is doing it the right way, waiting for the car in front to acknowledge you and move over.

Then you harass him again while he's dealing with slow traffic, nearly stacking it into the back of the kit car on the brakes because you've over-cooked it and not looked ahead. The very next corner you're hassling the Astra to get out the way when he's barely had chance to assess you're there.

Skip a bit further past the ignorant Golf and kit car, you're hassling the M4 when he's passing traffic the right way.

Then let's skip to the end, where you manage to spin in front of traffic you're trying to overtake hastily, instead of just being patient.

Stop fishing.

Maybe you are quite a quick driver, maybe your car is quite highly tuned, maybe both, whatever. Your driving definitely annoyed others, or you wouldn't have got the talking to. So, yay, you annoyed a bunch of other people on a day which was supposed to be fun. Winning!

Your track driving in the video you posted is analogous to someone on the road steaming along, straddling the white line and doing whatever they like because they are confident that they can handle their car and stuff everyone else.

In very average cars I'm rarely caught by anything on track. You tell me?

I'm not blowing my own trumpet at all. In fact I freely admit I'm terrible at lots of corners. Druids at Oulton Park, Redgate at Donington, Barn at Cadwell. But overall yes I think an impartial observer would say I'm reasonably talented, very impatient and too fat.
