Book a day at the Bill Gwynne Rally School in an Escort and you'll learn loads about car control!
Skid pans have their place. But they are no substitute for driving RWD properly on loose surfaces.

Go to a decent (Welsh?) rally school driving

Like CABC I also would recommend Andy Walsh at North Weald. I did a few hours with him many years ago and much of what he 'taught' me was useful straight away and still sticks with me years later - on road and on track. Much more than simply a skid pan. His company is (or was) called Car Limits I think.

I did skid pan driving a couple of years ago now, and yes it was really good, and yes a learnt allot about car control, and it saved me on track one day from a big crash, because one I did not panic, and two I had a good idea how to correct the situation.

Car Limits went bust during the pandemic. One of Andy's instructors has set up a new outfit operating out of North Weald. https://www.drivelimits.com
