Yes I think Sean is coming. I thought we were all meeting up on Saturday morning somewhere. I'll speak to Sean later. Just hope it doesn't rain as my Cup tyres will be all over the place.

See you Saturday

Looks like it will be dry. I will be in a yellow Elise 111R. Glad you porker chaps will be there to entertain us as you come onto the pit straight. Looking forward to it.

Will be there in my capacity as a track-club director. We've got the 205, Exige, Atom and the Radical SR3 out on this day - should be "interesting" and good news that it's supposed to be dry

ooh, you've got a scooby now Tif? Is that because of your experience in your friends? I'm sure it's a world away from the early STI V3 I had!

No, family duties to perform i'm afraid!

I found my scooby very boring to drive compared to the porker; you do much more steering with the throttle - when sideways you merely keep the front wheels dead straight and when you want to straighten up again you merely floor it and it just pulls itself round and away you go. Arcade style I suppose!

I was thinking of going but being an open pit lane it looks like I would just be slowing you folks down in an s2000. Would also be my first trackday so probably best to wait for some kind of novice day.

mate, open pit days are better for everyone, novices or veterans.

Plus there were only 70 odd cars there, which on a track that usually takes 120, was bugger all.
The place was very quiet.

You would have loved it.

It was very sparse on track, there seemed to be a huge number of people doing infrequent, short sessions.
For those making use of it, it would have been a real value for money day.

22nd October is the bedford day isnt it? Any ideas on how many will be attending? It seems you can still book online, still thinking about it myself.

An S2000 can keep up with much more exotic stuff. It's all about the driver. For example most (not all) Porkers tend to be driven reasonably slowly on the trackdays I've been on. Probably due to the fact they're worried about stuffing it.

And openpit lane is good for learning. You can watch peoples lines. And finally most track days have cones where you should turn in, where you apex and exit. And some also have suggested braking points.

Do it. The S2000 really comes alive on the track.
