Having enjoyed a couple of castlecoombe action days, and a weekend trip to Nurburgring I wandered what other cheap track days people are aware of ????

Donington for £99 is not a bad deal -- run by the circuit themselves.

Llandow is a great little track. Easy to learn but difficult to get good at. I've been there a few times and am back there again in March. The surface is very high grip and even in the wet it's great to drive. Details here.

Spend some weekends marshalling for MSV and you get 4 free trackdays every year. I'm off to Cadwell in a few weeks for nowt.

i went round it for my first time on the last wpce trackday in a mates e30 325 and found it very good fun.

the bus stop is complex and i had fun trying different lines through it also getting a bit of rear end action out of it.

devils elbow is a right git, a bit misleading to look at, used the curb almost every time i think!

nook bend is easy enough for a fast hanger straight. the chicane isnt too bad, im told when your confident enough you can virtually straight line it, but i wasnt gonna try it on my first time and in someone elses car!

glue pot is ok, could never decide what gear to use for it. have seen an elise come unstuck (pardon the pun!) there mind you and it wasnt pretty afterwards :|

paddock straight is very quick, i outbraked myself more than i would of liked down there!

I did Llandow in my Esprit and to be honest I was murdered by the Caterhams. The only parts I could catch up was the 2 straights. They cornered so fast (some were only 450kg!!!) that I slowed them up most of the time. The track was a bit too small to allow me to stretch the cars legs properly. Never got further than 3rd gear!
Fun all the same though and cheap.

Llandow is superb.
as previously stated its easy to learn yet challenging to get it right.

its suitable for all cars both high and lower powered machines.
