First track day in the Impreza. First one at Abingdon. Ever so excited bounce

Anyone else going?

(Obviously I am excited in an extremely grown up and mature fashion not in a kid just given keys to a sweet shop way obviously. No, no, no no...)

I'm there in my MX-5 with a few friends in Peugeot 306 Rallye, Saab 93 and Vauxhall VXT.

As the venue's only about 10 miles away from my house, it'd be rude not to.

It's not Brands Hatch! - but we will be there having a lot of fun. From memory all the corners are second gear, maybe one or two in third. The surface is typical airfield, I've been their five times have have no paint scars, if that's your concern - if it's tyres then Bedford is just as abrasive.

Hope this helps - see you friday, we are in a blue clio cup, come over and say hi in a spare moment.

I will be there (Silver VX220 Turbo) as will Munter in his Silver MX5.

Forecast currently says sunny, should be a good day.

Does anyone know if there will be any sort of burger bar food stuff onsite? or is it a case of bring your own / go off site to get lunch?

Or there's a nice pub only a short drive away. (Turn right as you rejoin the main road, iirc)

I like your style, think about your stomach first. Well, we wouldn't want to be driving on an empty stomach would we!

I'll be doing that again. I need to sort a leaky coolant hose, knackered fuel pump and some cheaper tyres, an exhaust mount, new pads on the back and, and, and but otherwise.

I thought the layout was pretty good, probably more suited to caterhams etc than 911's but good fun. I have nothing to compare against in terms of abrassivness but I did manage to kill my fronts. Having said that, despite my best efforts, it is an understeery sort of Hector.

Bah, not a single shot of my car

Great pics, great day, good to meet a few people, personally I found tyre wear very slight, perhaps I was not trying hard enough.
