I see he was arrested in his GT2 and had it impounded, lets hope this doesn't stop him making it to Flobbenrey in his Zonda (I just want to see the Zonda and Radicals showboating it for the rest of us).

Back on the "which way to go home" thread, I could do with a hypermarket/vineyard etc

Anyone else, preferably someone with at least a sketchy outline of the area

If you want a hypermarket you might as well wait 'till Calais, but they might be shut on a Sunday (as I found out last time)

Yep, all shut - 100s of brits pulling up at Cite Europe and looking dismayed each time I've been. I think the Tescos at CiteEurope is open, and EastEnders and other booze warehouses are probably open (not been to them - don't buy much booze - don't want to run the risk of them impounding the car thankyouverymuch).

We're going out on the Friday and doing shopping, then leaving it by the pit lane at Folembray (or in the hotel room thinking about it! dur!). Going to Leroy Merlin/Mr Bricolage too ... makes a nice change from Homebase (Sad I know, but when you own a house ...).

Euugh... the thought of Mungo trying to lose his virginity in a small French hotel isn't something I'm comfortable with.

Everything will be sent out via email, crossing and hotel is all booked. We are waiting for the individual crossing confirmations (which contain booking references) from EuroTunnel which will then be forwarded on to you all.

Have you looked at the PDF that is available for download on our site, that contains the information on the trip ?

Due to my impending purchase of a new (to me, anyway) German grunt-mobile, you may have to change the details of my vehicle for the ticket. Is that a problem?

Shan't follow you, oh no!

Just bought a new motor, mate. So since the Chunnel ticket will identify me by my old car's number plate on it, just wondered if that's a problem...

Got meself a Porker 993 C2, on a 95N plate -- couldn't stand tooling round in a Focus any longer. Since Porker residuals are so solid and interest rates etc so low, it actually makes sense to empty the piggybank and buy a nice toy. Well, it did to me!

Ah but you're towing, arent you? In which case the Mondeo makes sense.

I'm just hiring a Caterham Superlight for the day, so I can track it in that, and do the journey to/from home in the Porker. Looking forward to it...!

Correct, there is no escaping you B*****ds.

For the record the Zonda S is a head of S**t. On the GPS Garmen 111 when the Zonda was test driven down the M3, prior to Gumball it showed 225 on the speedo, but only 196 on the Garmen SatNav....the SatNav is 100% accurate.
Two weeks after one of the major car mags also found it to be some what short of it's claims..........

The GT2 (a little bit modified for the Gumball 3000) (check www.bmwm5.com for the vid's) was good for 210 on the Garmen!!)

Is there a decent petrol station on or near the circuit? The Atom has a bit of a thirst and I need to know if I should bring jerry cans... also am I allowed to remove the cycle wings for Folembray?

The Bookatrack boys will be able to answer the cycle wings query.

As for petrol there nearest petrol station (with Super U) is about 4 miles away.
