The BaT site does say single seaters are allowed (which I take to mean open wheeled F3 type cars) so you should be alright but best to check with Johnny really).

As it's France I would expect so (lots more derv cars than in blighty). Think the gas station mentioned is a big place on a major road so shouldn't be a problem.

Leadfoot's correct, there is a big petrol station out on the main road about 5-10 mins drive away.

I'm getting all excited now! Hope it's as good as last year. Here's some vids to get everyone in the mood:

Lotus Elise In-car lap:

Gooning with Jimbo around the pit complex:

More vids including TVR's and the GT2 are on my Bookatrack gallery here:

See everyone next weekend!!!

It'll be as good as last year if everyone is positive about this year and having at least as much fun! Seeing as this is my first year, I hope everyone isn't going to bang on about last year :-)

Mattd - seen a fair bit of your driving from the Jimbo cam - look forward to meeting you! Still haven't figured out how to attach my bullet cam to the SR3, but worse case it will be Gaffa taped to the helmet! :-)

Which bullet cam have you got Danny? I have the RF concepts one and it came with a sticky-backed velcro loop which can be attached anywhere you are happy to stick it.

I've also ended up using gaffa tape in the past which is fine as long as you are happy sticking it on your car.

Have a look at this lap of Anglesey:

www.bookatrack.com/g2/mattd/327/1186.AngleseyLapEdit.mpg

I edited it together using two days of footage with the bullet cam stuck on the roof, the bonnet, the boot and the air intake behind the passenger door.

Danny - I'm clamping mine on one of the diagnonal bars behind the cockpit. Using the Manfrotto Superclamp and a Slix ball joint into which the bullet cam screws in nicely. Bit of padding in the jaws of the clamp to stop scratches and reduce vibration for the cam.

Simple!

Bullet cam mic is wired into the cockpit already - can send you some pics if you like...

Pozzi have just phoned to say that we'll officially have the cackest car at flonberry, as they're hanging on to the BB for another week.
Oh well...I'll try not to get in the way.

Aren't there any better dealer than Pozzi for Ferraris here ?
Would it be possible they have improved their reputation in the last decades ?

If you know of one, Thom, I'm all ears. They're curt to the point of rudeness...Anyway, we'll see how much a rebuilt alternator costs before doing anything rash.

Well, not a dealer but a pal of my old man who has owned and worked on many Bugattis and classic Ferraris may certainly be able to solve your problem.

I will tell you more on saturday.

Was out in the P1 at the weekend giving it some welly over the Yorkshire moors when after about 20 minutes of hard driving I started to get brake fade!!

My P1 has already had the Prodrive big brake upgrade so this was the last thing I expected. So, have booked the car in on Friday AM to get the fluid upgraded to 5.1 and get the pads upgraded too. Not sure what pads are in there now (same ones as when I bought the car) but will run the new ones in on the way down to Folembray.

Oh well, here's hoping that this fixes the problem, otherwise it's going to be 3 hot laps and then in the pits to cool down

Yep - looks like I have the same RF concepts one - 480 lines. Have the velcro thingy, but only picking the car up again from Radical on Friday morning, so will have a go fitting it on the ferry!

I think the roof looks good, but inside the car with view of the steering wheel is probably best? Not sure if the instrument panel will show up in enough detail. Has you camera got the standard 78 degree field of view lens?
