Mr & Mrs Incorrigible - thanks for being 'mother ship' on the way back to Calais, and thanks again Ben for the 'educational' ride in the Chim. I think the problem with the windscreen surround lifting is because TVR didn't expect the airflow to be at right angles to the direction of travel!

Also major thanks to Ted for showing me how an S should be driven!

Cheers

Great idea Matt, just off to Germany for the week, so will be in there over the weekend. Haven't been in for a while so might need a M A P to find it!

Cheers

I'll say nothing about Mungo and Flashers sense of direction - except that we got there before them! nerh nerh ne nerh nerh!

A fun weekend and the weather was glorious. Definitely highlighted the need for:

(a) - better suspension
(b) - better brakes
(c) - a BIGGER TURBO!

I can't even say that germanic efficiency got me thru the day, 'cos the intercooler/turbo pipework has been lunched (just after lunch as well, so apologies for any smoke trails I may have left behind), but getting home was accomplished successfully - now I've got to wait for the servicing bill .....

Good to finally put names to faces and I'll certainly be along to the next one, provided that diseasals are allowed

Hi everybody,

finally got home after another 12 hour treck - no sleeping in the van this time though.

Thanks everybody for a fantastic weekend: this was how every trackday should be like ! Nice to be able to put some faces to names - if it wasn't for Saturday night I would actually remember !! Apologies for not being able to give rides (if you knew how c**p my driving was you'd probably thank me): better luck next time.

Ted: I asked my mother: She swears she never knew a guy called Rommel. Our marketing strategy might therefore require some rethinking. Where's my advert ?

Let's do another Folembray weekend, say next weekend ??

See you all soon,
Felix & Jeremy.

I'll get to work on your advert. Thanks for the ride. It was the quickest passenger ride I had all day

Still swear Felix isn't German. Can't be, he was quite funny.

Great weekend as usual, thanks Ted and BookaTrack, and thanks DLT for the Radical off-road excursion, I want one.

Who were the people taking all the 'professional' photos and uploading them to PCs? Will the pics be posted anywhere? Don't want to see us ending up on Kirsty's Home Videos or one of those Granada Men & Motors shows!

I wouldn't mind ending up on Kirsty though ...

Don't let Liz hear you say that!

It's www.picman.co.uk, though he reckoned the shots won't appear on the site for a while.

Good to see you again, Trefor.

The company is called Picture Management Ltd. Their website is www.picman.co.uk.

They attend lots of car/bike trackdays around the UK and Europe and once Gary is back in the office I'm sure a few piccies from this weekend will be up on his site.

Do I detect from some of these comments and also from the hastily edited vitriol that was poured out in my direction last night over a fairly innocent off-the-cuff remark that there were a few "ups & downs" and disagreements this time?

There appears to be enough intruige and cover ups for an entire episode of the X-Files.

Shut up Jon. I don't call laughing at an accident before finding out the welfare of the vehicles occupants an "off the cuff remark"

It's obviously sad that there were a couple of incidents but barring that everyone had a great weekend. There weren't any disagreements either, if you want some dirt, go and buy The Sun....

Not really Jon. Three dings on track and plenty of beer drunk. Nothing sinister.

I'm not going to discuss this further due to the total overreaction of many people, particularly you flasher.
I am not digging dirt, I was most certainly not laughing at anyone's misfortune and with all due respect there have been far more inflammatory remarks made over the years on PistonHeads that have attracted a far lesser response.

The earlier, unedited, versions of the posts implied that it was a minor bump and stated that no-one was hurt. My remark was based on that.

I don't think I deserve the shit that everyone has given me both publically and via my profile, especially when I immediately apologised for any offense caused.
And particularly since you've had 21 months and 2856 posts to see that deliberately offending people and making fun of situations is NOT my style.

(Edited to quote what I was replying to.)

Steady on Flasher! I know where Jon is coming from, take a look at this comment on the bottom of the second page of photos on Pikeynet:

As expected - another fantastic, fun-filled weekend with great cars, company sun and beer. Would have been made better without the crashes and the addition of a certain person, but excellent never-the-less. Here's looking forward to the next one (what's that? 2 weeks?!) ))

Sounds intriguing to me, but Ted says that everything was hunky dory so that's good enough for me.

I think Pikey is referring to the over-exuberant noise test man.

I took that as being the man with the sound level testing kit - could be wrong though.

Jon

If you feel offended, can you imagine how everyone involved in the incident feels? They probably didn't want any of it on here for obvious reasons.

Bet they are all well chuffed you stuck your nose in last night in and despite Carzee's post you then decided to drag it all up again today.

You only have yourself to blame if people are pissed off with you.

End of discussion.
