Does anyone know of a training option where I can spend a day learning advanced track driving techniques in my own car.

At the track days I've done I've had some tuition but it's been with race drivers who aren't really professional instructors.

What I'm after I guess is a sort of RideDrive training day specifically for track day driving. Like how to anticipate and control a slide (I've been on skidpan but want to do it in my own car at speed on a track which is I imagine a whole different ball game).

Anyway any pointers would be appreciated.

Don Palmer from Driving Developments sounds like what you want - all day sliding around in your own car on a private track, highly recommended. It's probably too intense to do on your own all day (it's very tiring stuff!) so it's usually done as a small group. Or find a track day operator with qualified professional instructors?

I am an ARDS Instructor and do many freelance training days.
We would book a track day and I would spend all day with you.

Being from the TVR world myself I have many satisfied drivers who can credit the experience.

Please do contact me if you wish to talk through options.

Having done a few track days with instructors I decided that the best way forward was for a more full on instruction day and have just done the 1st Lotus day with Andy Walsh at North Weald ..... Superb, hilarious fun, learnt loads and only cost £140ish with 3 others.

Top bloke, top day and I am going back in March/April to learn more.

One of group had been on Don Palmers day the day before (no he didn't have a lot of rubber left) and said that he felt the 1st Lotus day was better ..... and half the price !

Yes, I've had a day at North Weald with Andy. Top bloke, ex-F1 Benetton test driver. Did he take u around in his Elise showing off his left foot braking technique?

Put it into practice shortly afterwards at Goodwood when understeering thru Lavant wound the lock OFF...it works!
