They didn't actually do too badly. Don Palmer made it to the second round and John Lyons only just missed out. Don Palmer does however have the dubious distinction of being the only "pro" to have stuffed a car on our Sideways Challenge when it used to be run at Chobham. But I didn't tell you that......

I was in in my trackday car a little black Mazda Turbo 4x4 (nitrous too!), the one with the L plates on, only problem I thought it best to leave it on it's road tyres, not my bald trackday ones...anyway not very impressive I'm ashamed to say.

Those M3's did'nt survive that well, one blew a clutch which they hid away,

Earlier on the some of the "pro's" found it rather amusing to switch the traction back on when they got out, ready for the next person. I think Pentti was a victim of that one, however later he did show us how it should be done in his Mondeo!

Next year if I havent got a fast RWD car I'm bringing my Toyota Previa - its amazing on wet roundabouts, the looks you get......
