For those of you who want to stay in Dover on the Friday night we have negotiated room rates at the Churchill hotel. Tel 01304 203633 Single room B&B £59 Double/twin room B&B £68 They have quite a good menu, with bar snacks and dining room. Diners may need to book in advance. Julius Bates will be staying there with his green Scooby Reg A14 MDS to assist you on Saturday morning onto the ferry.

......and that leads to the obvious question: what about those who are staying in France on the Friday night? What time Ferry are we on and what are the hotel details? Mike. Edited by MikeE on Monday 9th April 13:58

For those who chose to cross on the Friday night, we are staying at the IBIS hotel in ARRAS. Please note the price for this is not included in the package. I look forward to meeting you all on the 12th. P.S. We still have a few places left.

With only a week to go before the P2001 tour, we will be shipping out tickets and information packs over the weekend. The ferry crossing on the Saturday morning will be the 8.15am SEAFRANCE from Dover Eastern Dock. Julius Bates will be waiting to meet you at the dock, look out for a Green Subaru Impreza Turbo Reg A14 MDS. His mobile number is 07831 847943. If you have trouble getting hold of him, please try me on 07785 574685. Please note if you are calling from a mobile within France you need to dial 0044 prefix and drop the first 0 from the number you are calling. You need to be at the dock by 7.30am to be sure of getting on the Ferry. If you miss the ferry, don’t panic, just catch the next ferry and catch us up at the track. Julius will be staying at the Churchill hotel in Dover on the Friday night if you need to find him then. We usually meet up at the bar at the bow (pointy end) of the boat for a coffee and chat during the crossing. Edited by Mikefield on Wednesday 2nd May 08:37

Just to say thanks to Mike for making it happen and to PetrolTed for being the conduit. I had a great weekend (in spite of it being FF600 more expensive than I expected!). Can't wait for next year....

Sorry about the FF600 Must remember to remind people to slow down at junction 4 next time. Brits only departure tax! It happens every time.

Tut Tut Manek, well if you will ignore the speed limits ....must say though I still feel a tad guilty that Dave and yourself got stopped and I didn't - so sorry again Dave and Manek As for the 'enforced' manoeuvre to overtake that coach, I'm just glad that wasn't on camera!!! To Mike Field and Dave - thanks very much for a great weekend and I look forward to repating it next year. Cheers guys Mike.

Yep, that was a great weekend at a fantastic price, thanks guys. Glad the Gendarmes didn't catch our little group where they caught Manek and Dave as I managed Eric Bristow's favourite score in the Exocet just before that point(I seem to be more adept at going fast in straight lines than round the racetrack). Thought there should have been more Tuscan's and Cerberas, only Mike and me representing these, 2 Chimaeras and Dave's S, at such a great price there should have been more ! Roll on next year....

Great weekend guys. The reason I went was because of the range of cars attending - not just a bunch of TVRs going round in circles. Roll on next time. Trefor/.
