Is road registered/road legal a requirement for most track days?

I'm looking at doing a new build project and I'm not sure which route to take.

TIA

Topcats run their Tuscan Racer at RMA days and also at Silverstone (can't remember the names of the organisers).

Also, not that many Radicals out there appear to be SVA'd, so I wouldn't have thought that you'd have a problem.

Thanks guys. It was more the road registered rather than road legal aspect I was concerned about.

The car I have in mind could be far more track bias and cheaper if it was not SVA'd or registered.

Never been a problem. So long as it passes the individual track tests - noise/open wheels/seat belts etc.
