Does anyone else think we have our very own Apprentice candidate for 2012 in the making?
Vats wot ahm torkin abaht.... Loadsamanaaaaay!
I think you're more likely to be the target Market than the op tbh. Give it a rest. Vats wot ahm torkin abaht.... Loadsamanaaaaay!
I could have got the OP wrong, but his grand claims of being an executive head hunter and his other post about renting a flash car to get a jump speak volumes.

If I had a quid for every billy big balls graduate I've encountered with their flash rented lifestyles over the course of my career, I'd be a very rich man indeed. Most of them, of course, will grow up to realise what complete idiots they've been and look back with embarrassment.

Your comments on both threads speak volumes about you.I could have got the OP wrong, but his grand claims of being an executive head hunter and his other post about renting a flash car to get a jump speak volumes.

Company make 20 times I would imagine
5%
Its actually quite a lot more than that but don't know exactly so wont say i do but its around 15%. He had another recently, from a short term contract placement that basically pocketed him about 5k. Apparently those contracts are the ones to have because if you a decent candidate and they do a good job they can be signed many times over.5%
The biggest deal i have seen on the board was more than 3 times that 20k figure but i just gave the most recent example. It's not a bad business and at this level (despite my reservations) it is by no means a 'monkey' job. Decent input is required throughout the process and it's little things that make the difference between an averagely successful consultant and a very successful one. As always the devil is in the detail.
Okgo is pretty much bang on with his estimation.

Oh, you're back again. I don't know about grand claims that is what i do. Admittedly i don't do much 'placing' at the moment but aid the guy who does, once i gain promotion this will change. Regarding my other thread, i didn't want to hire a flash car to get a jump. I thought of it as a nice thing to do, something that i and the girl in question might enjoy. I am not anywhere near as 'base' as you seem to think. Out of interest, not to start an arguement, but genuinelly interested, what is your line of work?I could have got the OP wrong, but his grand claims of being an executive head hunter and his other post about renting a flash car to get a jump speak volumes.

Oh, I'm far too unimportant
My guess is this is the only true thing you have said. Had a massive heart attack in my 30s and wondered what the hell it was all for.
If I could do it all again, I'd have sat back, taken it easier, and not tried to make out I was something bigger than I was. All it did for me was to nearly put me 6 ft under.

I really can't figure out why you're being like this. I'm sure if you met you would realise i'm just a genuinelly nice guy asking for some advice and discussing the exciting position of starting a new job with some guys that have the experience to give that advice. I haven't seen one nice, or even reasonable comment from you. It begs the question how miserable your life must have been to associate with others (on a likeminded forum!!) like you are.VeeFour said:

Some people are made for stressful positions and some aren't. Don't worry that you haven't got it. Had a massive heart attack in my 30s and wondered what the hell it was all for.

OP is not a billy big bks, he will soon realise.
I do feel that your hostility and negative comments are a tad odd, and it seems to be only you doing so.

Why come onto this chaps thread if all you are going to do is try and make a mockery of him?
Maybe he is trying to help him. Being a new employee with a huge attitude isnt very endeering. A head hunter worth his salt would need to be a very experienced and knowledgable chap.I dont see a great deal wrong with any of the posts on here TBH.Why come onto this chaps thread if all you are going to do is try and make a mockery of him?

Fair enough. You think any attitude change is possible then? Gassing Station | Jobs & Employment Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
