CSC card

hi chaps,

ive just left the forces and hoping to start work as a cabling engineer (fibre+copper), i need to apply for one of these cards to get on site.

trouble is i cant find which colour/catagory i need, as the website doesnt seem to be very helpful and is not recognising my job description.

also is the test hard or just basic common sense H+S stuff?

Just to say it all depends on wether it is your own business and experience etc...

I currently have a yellow one which is for occasional site visits (Sales Manager)

all common sence stuff there are books out with question answer etc and computer disks, the only thing that was tricky for me was colour of fire extinguisher,

yours might be a bit trickier due to nature of business you are doing, sample question as follows

There is smoke coming from the motor of your drill you should?
A: pour water over it
B: Use a Carbon dioxide extinguisher
C: unplug drill and see that no one else uses it
D: allow to cool and use 30 mins later.

Best question was about someone on drugs and one of the answers was leave them as they work faster!!!
