ITPM Contractors Thames Valley/London

Hi I have an option of leaving my permy role in London of 23 years (IT PM for last 6 years) with a package. I am interested to know the views of the PH how the contract PM Market is in the Thames valley area and how mad an idea this is in the current climate!! Just given the option I would prefer to go on my terms rather than potentially be made redundant in the future....

I am sure many of you have faced this predicament!

The IT PM contractor market seems pretty bouyant at the moment - IF your skills and background match: retail, financial (banking, investment) and mobile/social media. Overarching these there are often requirements for experience in "Agile" environments. Have you had a trawl through CWJobs, Jobserve, ContractorUK etc to see if your skills & experiences match? Are you up to date with IR35 etc?
