DB Cargo have got some trainee positions open at the moment for various parts of the country.
Another trainee job(s) went up a few weeks ago for a couple of days..... 7000 applicants. The missus works for DB and said those applications were not for actual jobs, just to get into the talent pool abyss.

That’s who I work for, in fact one of my mates starts next month so will be on the same course as you and a bit of a petrolhead too.
Enjoy the training, there’s a lot to learn but you will be fine with your previous experience.
Happy days, I'm getting a hire car but as the course progresses, the TVR may make an appearance. Enjoy the training, there’s a lot to learn but you will be fine with your previous experience.

Yeah, but you don't know him like I do..
Dont know what you mean.... Good luck to all those just starting their railway career, I've just found an envelope containing the job ad from the Leicester Mercury circa spring '78 along with a wage slip from the summer of that year! My brother has returned to work after taking early retirement from a PSB to work as a relieve signaller on the Coalville line, my old area as a drivers assistant! Anyone passing over that line give him a wave.

In that case he'll be rubbing shoulders with the Hall brothers, 'Beefy' and Andy, and probably Mr.Kinnear at Bardon Hill, Mantle Lane and Moira Have you heard of 'Pinkie' Salmon Bob...?
MyTrainee's first day today. Due to COVID he has only done around 60mins driving and 1 day experience before coming out for his 225 hours of practical handling with me.
He is completely zapped from the 60 mins his drove today and mind blown with what we have to consider, our constant risk assessments whilst driving, and surprised how quickly things can get on top of you. But he also loved it.
Thread lurkers - give the job a go!
