currently in the same situation myself, except I made it to second interview.

What I'd do? Send a polite, short email thanking your contact for the chance to interview and reiterating your interest in the role and the company.
Sit back and wait.
Things happen in business that take priority over hiring. You also don't want to come across as a pest.
Good luck

I wait a week to send an email enquiry into how their recruitment process is going. If no response, phone a little bit later.

I'm waiting on an answer too, and got an automated out of office reply for the latest application.

Don't feel so bad, I applied for a job in December, interview January, first assessment centre Feb, second assessment centre in March, medical last week, and I'm still waiting!
