Lack of confidence?
Discussion
Hi Everybody
Just looking for some input/thoughts please. Is it just me or is there a real general lack of confidence at the moment?
There seems to be a lot of people who have some great business ideas with the potential to be successful and yet they never get to do it. Not talking about people who are only dreaming, I mean people who really should be in business.
Not thinking about lack of finance etc, but people who are not taking that step because of fear/lack of confidence.
Any input would be appreciated please?
Thanks

It may help if you cite your source; a cursory check suggests the contrary:

Thanks, really appreciate your feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
rather than the UK as a whole, I was thinking more about an individual's own lack of confidence, as opposed to being (naturally) cautious. The individual who would like to start up but remains an employee etc because they don't have confidence.
Again, I'd welcome any thoughts.

If this individual has a good sound business idea go for it.rather than the UK as a whole, I was thinking more about an individual's own lack of confidence, as opposed to being (naturally) cautious. It is natural to be cautious take a risk live is short.
ToB,
Everyone will have their own levels of confidence, experience and education as a background, so it's tricky to answer your question with a yes/no.
What seems to sap confidence is people have low startup capital, or other commitments, or even (as you suggest) low confidence in their idea. Find ways to build your confidence, rather than contemplating how easy it might be to fail, without having even started!
Research your idea, your field, and make efforts to meet people or message them to build a background knowledge and contacts. Beyond that, you'll need to find that confidence soon
