You'll be presented with a compromise agreement next week offering a couple of months pay and a vanilla reference, and put on garden leave for the remainder of your days. It's sh!t, but its routine practice.

Unless your finances are in extremely good shape to fight it, take it on the chin, and use all the energy to find something new.

Good luck!

It's your word against his/theirs, regarding any issues, so you're stuffed. The only possibility as said is that it's just your boss, not higher up. You could try going over his head, but it could make things even worse.

I suffered this st for too long at BT, despite being blameless and very good at my job. HR were useless, being basically there just to cover the company's arse.

As said again, fight it, but look elsewhere.

You've nothing to lose in speaking to the MD, if he agrees with your boss you're outta there, if he doesn't know what's been going on you might find you get promoted. I'd hijack the MD in your shoes, take your evidence just in case he's onside and explain how much more you'd be able to deliver given the backing to do so.

Let us know how it goes. Oh and see if you can negotiate 6 months pay -say you moved for the job incurred costs etc and think you deserve it for the turnaround you've overseen!

None of the whys what’s and how’s matter. The only thing you should do now is head for the exit with the best settlement agreement you can get. Sounds tough but it’s the best way and like a poster above says in 12 months time you will probably look back and go “thanks fk for that”. Good luck. Make sure your package is the length of your notice period minimum plus accrued holidays and reclaim your pension contributions if you have any. Always ask for a small pot of money for outplacement support to help you find your next role and if there are any short training course that don’t cost much that would benefit you ask for those too. If you don’t ask you don’t get and you don’t have to accept the first offer given.

I'd sum it up like the others

coupe of incidents
Dislike of you from Manager - Threatened

You have less than 24 months service so little or no employment rights

Go for the MD chat and come to an agreement ( compromise), but they call it something else now.

Get an employment lawyer to check the detail before signing.

Sorry to be blunt, but if they want you out, the door is there and it's open.
