Thanks. I hope you get better soon and everything works out ok. smile

Personally, I have been a lot happier since not going back. I sorted everything last week and haven't heard anything back at all. Just a grumpy 'thanks for the sick note' email. My wife kindly took my the laptop back to them. Nothing more since though.

On another note (and this isn't my concern now), but I simply need to share something that has recently happened at the old job. I didn't think it could get any worse. However, my old team are being told off for having no work to do. Yes, you heard that right. If the dev team are late, or there are loads of faults (which is common), or there is simply nothing to do (due to no work being generated by the business), my team are getting an arse kicking. Apparently, a new procedure was put in place stating that if 'general' duties are logged (the sort of thing you do when you aren't busy), you will be getting a telling off. Wow! wobble

Just a quick update. Still haven't heard anything.

Everything was sorted (well, I think it was) nearly two weeks ago and I have had no communication whatsoever from work regarding leaving etc.

I thought I would have had something by now?

Anyhow, enjoying the time off. Initial sick note finishes Thursday and I have another doc appointment booked for that morning.

Edited to add - re my old sick note. I've just noticed that I was only supposed to give my employer a copy. They demanded the original. Oh well, just another thing they have done wrong. smile

I left my place at the end of March and other than April when it didn't stop raining it's been awesome.
Some guilt / stressful moments about not working but, 95% good.

I guess September I'll rejoin the workforce, but it's been an epic summer.

We're here for a good time not a long time !
I had my first guilt moment the other day as this will be the first time I've had to pay a mortgage payment out of savings. Then I remembered stuff like being followed to the toilet, emails bking me for something I could no nothing about and then the thought of going back there. The guilt soon went. hehe

Sounds like a business that is circling the drain to me, and the management aren't taking responsibility for it. Well done for getting out while you could.
Sounds about right. I’d be surprised if the other members of staff are not looking at alternatives right now.
