Physical assault at work

Sounds more like it's based on your unhealthy imagination and prejudice than any real-word situation that could occur.
Refer to my previous comments re tone of voice and facial expression being absent from the written langauge, and consider what your inference tells us about your opinions and preconceptions.funkyrobot said:

The only one f*cked up is Funky he will attack me now simply because I see him as a fantasist and called him out on it
In nearly all of his posts he is a victim. He loves being the victim and so makes more stuff up.
From cars clipping him with wing mirrors on country roads. Through working in a workplace full of people who never liked him or helped him. A wife who is making his life hell and culminating in todays classic of a work colleague slapping him He is always the victim
As with lots of things some of his tales of angst and hearbreak will be rooted in truth but wildly exaggerated
When caught out he will resort to calling people names and mention the size of their penises ably demonstrating his maturity He will also claim that his critics don't understand mature relationships.
He loves people responding to him and invites people to offer him advice via PM's
He is not at all thick.

To cap it off you are the one told not to come to work, when in any normal situation like this both parties would be suspended on full pay subject to a disciplinary hearing.
Suddenly FR is the centre of attention again and you wonder why some posters doubt you.
You have been posting on and off for a few years now both as yourself and your alter ego Colonel Sanders about all your problems, then you go quiet for a few months and then it all starts again.
I suppose people start to think of the boy who called wolf once to often just for attention

You say wow but this morning you are signing off the relationship thread with a smile as if all was well in the world of FR, and then here you are back this afternoon after apparently being assaulted over the weekend by another woman other than your wife, with another tale of woe.

So he had another account which he would post as and leave the FR account idle!?!?To cap it off you are the one told not to come to work, when in any normal situation like this both parties would be suspended on full pay subject to a disciplinary hearing.

It was the first time he mentioned he had found out his wife had come into a substantial inheritance which up until then he knew nothing about.
I have some sympathy for him, he clearly has a lot of problems to deal with but I think he goes about it the wrong way.

We had a small fight at work
One lad hit the other after being provoked (the one doing the hitting had lost his girlfriend to the other)
They sacked the one who threw the punch
The other was disciplined.
My wife was the HR advisor at the time, and it was as has been said, gross misconduct with NO defense at all.
But it was the choice of the company managers.

After some of the carp you've posted on here over the years i'd be slapping you silly too.
clearly she’s read some of your posts!More seriously, your company has got this completely arse about face and seem only interested that wherever you work stays open.
You have been assaulted at work by a fellow employee. She should have been immediately suspended pending investigation. Investigating manager should be taking statements from both employees as soon as possible and get the ball rolling. It is not up to you to decide her fate (that would be contained in the company handbook under gross misconduct). They do have a duty of care towards you and you should legitimately claim that you don’t feel safe working alongside her, especially alone. You should be kept separate until investigation is complete.
If they force you to work alongside her, launch a grievance against your local management - this should not be happening.
Get HR involved. They are generally useless and only have the companies best interest in mind but they tend to follow procedures and push that their duty of care towards you has been ignored.
Look for a new job. This shower care little for you and will probably try and brush it under the carpet as it’s the easy solution. Be prepared to stand up for yourself and not be fobbed off. If they know your not a pushover, they’ll act as they’re supposed to.

Yep although he will deny it. He only used the Colonel Sanders account to post about his marital issues until he was called out on it, then stopped using it again.

I have some sympathy for him, he clearly has a lot of problems to deal with but I think he goes about it the wrong way.
It's a shame people waste their time helping out on a (potentially) non existent issue and also sad that he's clearly an unhappy chap.It was the first time he mentioned his he had found out his wife had come into a substantial inheritance which up until then he knew nothing about.

Hopefully this time he will finally get his marital issues sorted and it works out ok for him with his little girl.

for God's sake man - it's a humorous posting there's no need to get all woke about it. Get a sense of humour.
I could say exactly the same to you.Words on a screen don’t carry the tone of voice not the cheeky grin and wink that would be present during FTF interactions.
Was it not clear when I told him to wear a wig and fight back that my tongue was pressed firmly into my cheek?! Alas! Words on screen...
I'm posting here because I have a similar story, in my case 15yrs ago there was a young chap at work who had some sort of issue with me, he was a sandwich short of a picnic, but I never did anything across him.
One day his big brother is waiting for me in the works carpark, to do me some damage. It transpired that his female supervisor had been winding him up, feeding him lies, telling him i'd been saying things about him and his family, and she'd been doing this for nearly 6 months, it's no wonder the guy hated me so much.
In the case of OP, i'd do some digging, find out if something similar has been going on........

No apology that I can recall. She just said she didn't know why she did it.
Thing is, if she does this, what is to stop her escalating the next event.
As mentioned above, she has got away with so much. I'm expecting to be told off later for being in the way of her hand, or hurting her hand.

Hopefully she gets fired.
I would report to police if she doesn't get fired. I would think losing her job punishment enough.

Over the weekend, I was physically assaulted by a female colleague at work. I've been called into work early to discuss the situation as I made a complaint. Anyone know what this will entail?
What sort of punishment will she receive and is there anything specific I need to be aware of? Anything I can ask about?
The assault was witnessed by a member of the management team. It came completely out of nowhere. There was no banter beforehand, no comments, nothing that could be taken as offensive by my colleague. She basically walked up to me and assaulted me in-front of customers.
I have been asked if I'm ok working with my colleague. I said yes. To be fair, I can't not work with her as we have a small team.
In retaliation, I did nothing. Just moved away from her and spoke to the manager who witnessed it straight after.
Thanks all.
So, you got beaten up by a girl. And now you’re publicising it on the Internet. What sort of punishment will she receive and is there anything specific I need to be aware of? Anything I can ask about?

Well this thread has certainly taken an enormous detour since I posted after lunch
I was thinking that.Anyway, back on topic, FR if what you have posted is true, then you should be asking your company why they have permitted her to continue to work when she was witnessed by a manager assaulting you for no apparent reason. You should also report the assault to the police and contact ACAS/Union because your company is not treating you fairly. In fact if you ae the victim of an unprovoked assault, then you are being unfairly singled out.
