A birth certificate really doesn't come into it in theses circumstances, I hope she wasn't the only new employee who was asked to provide one as that could be problematic.
No it doesn't come into it and again, this was a question I asked - is everyone asked to produce a birth certificate and have been told yes. I've never been asked!p2c said:

Can you find another legit reason to get rid of them? If they are a new hire I understand it’s easier. Arguably a bit harsh but if it keep multiple other employees happy....
This is the reason trans people have employment and other rights protected in law, and why we have to know the law. But then get accused of being litigious and awkward. From what I'm told nobody wants to "get rid" of the person, not even the women who are being stressed by the situation.

I want for there to be an everyone's happy solution to the problem where all women feel safe and comfortable and trans feel the same and that they're not being a problem, but "some" people deciding one sides rights and issues can and should be simply sacrificed makes them as bad as the kind of people they like to think they oppose.
This sums up the situation, the problem and the goal. Really well put!

I am a women and whilst not a grandma..........
........Please note I am not against Transexuals (or any other spectrum of sexuality) but to give rights to a tiny proportion of the population at the expense of half the population cannot be right?.
I may not have made myself very clear and don't want to offend but there are other points of view in this debate.
This is very well explained and makes it so much clearer to understand. ........Please note I am not against Transexuals (or any other spectrum of sexuality) but to give rights to a tiny proportion of the population at the expense of half the population cannot be right?.

Whilst there may be nothing to fear, the fear is still there and reasonable.
