No it doesn't come into it and again, this was a question I asked - is everyone asked to produce a birth certificate and have been told yes. I've never been asked!

This is the reason trans people have employment and other rights protected in law, and why we have to know the law. But then get accused of being litigious and awkward.

Just to clarify, this isn't at my place of work. I mentioned at the outset that it's a situation at my brothers.

From what I'm told nobody wants to "get rid" of the person, not even the women who are being stressed by the situation.

That's one of the issues here. The employer really doesn't want to lose them.

I may not have made myself very clear and don't want to offend but there are other points of view in this debate.

This is very well explained and makes it so much clearer to understand.

Whilst there may be nothing to fear, the fear is still there and reasonable.
