Yesterday marked 100 days since I was furloughed and started this thread. 100 days! It's gone incredibly quickly and at the moment no end in sight.

Can you now be put back into furlough? The project I was working on has been completed so things are a bit quiet at the moment.
if you've been furloughed before yes, if not they you can't be furloughed for the first time now.

Another milestone today, as far as I can work out I’m the last of my friends still furloughed.

Many people here still off work?

Well I met up with a couple of co-workers for a walk last night and one is fairly senior, he was about as clear as he could be without getting himself in trouble that I need to step up my job hunting.

Finally happened, redundancy process kicked off.

I expected this when I started the thread so not really a surprise, but still a kick in the balls.

Anyone looking for an Account Manager or Customer Success Manager in the South East?

Do you have any experience in anything UC / Voice / Comms?
Yes/No. I used to account manage for a firm that provided hardware and software for remote worker management. PDAs with voice and Data for plumbers, taxi drivers, utilities companies etc. Used to work with people like Calor, Jewsons, SIG, Hermes etc.

Got a meeting with the MD today to discuss the finer details. The other person in consultation is our trainer and she was told that they will pay furlough up till end of Oct and she doesn't have to use her holiday and they'll pay it. That better be offered to me as well or I'll be fuming!

Here we are at the end of the scheme. What a strange 7 months it’s been.

I got my redundancy money yesterday and as of Monday I’m full time working at a double glazing factory for just over min wage. It’ll keep me solvent for medium term and I’m hugely grateful I have work but I still find it astonishing that in 8 months I’ve gone from suits and meetings to steel toe cap boots and manual labour. Very humbling.

I hope everyone in this thread is doing ok.

Most of those being let go at the end of the scheme will have finished yesterday. For those of us in that situation the extension is no use, our employment has already ended.

Have any on here that were furloughed and then made redundant been re-hired to be put back on furlough?
No. A co-worker of mine asked and was told no chance.

Not sure if it’s allowed, we’d been paid our redundancy money on the Friday before the extension. It would have been nice to stay on but ultimately our roles were never going to be required in the medium term. Better to crack on finding something new and putting furlough and this year behind us.
