Looking at a bike tomorrow, the seller has stated in the add that he won it. (Online raffle)
It’s second hand, 2018 with around 5k on the clock,he says he’s only done around 40 miles on it.
Would that tale ring alarm bells with you?

Not if they've got the V5 for it.

Raffles use 2nd hand bikes.

Yes he’s got the V5, and a check shows a change of keeper 6 weeks ago that ties in, I also
assumed that they would only raffle new bikes.

Not a VFR.

There's also a VFR being sold that has 'just been won in a raffle' that seems genuine won from a site called rev comps.

Most of the raffle companies raffle off used bikes. My brother won a Husqvarna 701 supermoto a few weeks ago, it’s a 2016 and came through cubo moto (also not as clean as cubo moto always claim their bikes are! Needed a few bits doing but still he can’t complain for £2.49!)

What bike is it? 7daysperformance and Dreamcar Giveaways have raffled off plenty in the last few months including a 899 panigale, R1 M, few ZX10R’s, S1000R & RR’s. 7 days get their raffle bikes from Cubo Moto and come with Warranty

Edit: also ask him which raffle company, they have all the previous winners listed on the website so you can double check

Someone on another forum I frequent won a 2018 Tuono on Rev Comps that he’s selling on so it’s by no means u usual.

Must admit if I won something I'd be very seriously considering selling it on afterwards - a few k in your back pocket can be very useful.

If you can see the competition online looks a safer bet than this bike I found on eBay a few weeks ago:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-hypermotard-796-...

"2011/12 800cc powerhouse,This was a auction buy I can provide prof of perched,I don’t get the v5 logbooks when I buy from them so the winner will have to fill out the v62 form with me and tax it with me at the post office, the bike came to me without the key and slight cracks on plastic trim that’s it cat n minor,I have now fitted a new ignition barrel and petrol cap it also came with a card with codes and 2 keys it’s all plugged in and works but will need programmed I’m guessing I don’t know Ducati not much help, but I can start this on the button like any bike I just bypass the immobiliser and she starts and rides perfect, the only problem with this is every time you want to start it up you got to take the seat off,so will need professional programming, the auction I buy from stated the bike is white for some reason it’s been painted black so you will have to change to black with dvla or paint it white up to you, please no px bid to buy pick up within 2 days or deposit required, contact straight away, best to pick up in a van as the chain is a little slack pick up from Maidenhead Berkshire might take px"

Several still bid on it though, a lot of people just see $ signs, even when it looks too good to be true.

£3500?! What a nail, not worth that by a damn sight even if it isn't a scam/stolen/bitsa one from a random frame.
