Hi all,

Leaving aside the other routes to new employment or interim work, such as recruiters, agencies, being approached on LinkedIn etc, do you use any job websites or apps to browse and search for jobs or not? If so, which ones do you find useful?

Cheers

I used to use jobserve a lot for tech contracts, landed a few via that route. All my recent roles came from linkedin, either it matching my profile and advertising roles to me in the sidebar or me using their job search function. Had a fair few interesting ones come through via message from agents too but always come when I'm not available.

I've had a couple of jobs/contracts via LinkedIn, however I have been contracting in a specific area recently, and was wondering if I should be considering other roles and where might be the best place to start browsing.

I've had a look at Reed, Indeed, TotalJobs etc, but I always find them a bit of a mess of very generic adverts with no location or specific salary etc.

Fishing expeditions by agents a lot of the time!

I had a look at going for contracts via Gcloud a few years back, know a few who did that fairly successfully. If you can get through the initial paperwork (and presumably cyber essentials) then might be worth a look depending on your area.

Thanks for that smile I'll have a look.
