Oh, that's the plan, but occasionally over the last 4 weeks, I thought, you know he might just leave without a problem.

This afternoon's conversation is planned in my head.

Have you got the keys to your new house?

No. (with excuses)

Right. Well I've looked on line, and you can rent a storage room for £10 a week, so I suggest you do that because if all your stuff is not gone by Sunday lunch time it's going out the front door by Sunday Afternoon.

Some feable response.

Look, if you have no where to go, book into a hotel. There's places in Stoke for £30 a night. It's not my problem.

...........

Repeatedly say the exact same thing until Sunday afternoon. When I change the locks and phone the police.

He went at 3:55 pm

When I got back from work on Friday, he was vague about when he was getting the keys. I could tell their was truth mixed with lies.
What I think he'd done was move his tenancy start date to Sunday to time his new jobs pay day. But he hadn't got the new AST. So I'm only imagining what excuses are going to be on Sunday afternoon.
I keep saying, why don't you phone her and agree a handover time.
I also suggested he get a storage unit and start moving the stuff Saturday morning.
Anyway, on Saturday morning I sat him down, and explained that I thought he had 5 or 6 car loads of stuff and it would take about 2 hours per car load, and if he got the keys mid morning on Sunday there was no way he'd have time, so If he hadn't got thd keys by lunch time Saturday, I would give him £10 for a storage unit and he could do 2 trips on Saturday afternoon. This kind offer, seemed to push him into reality. Within 20 mins he'd spoken to the landlord, and the keys were in a key safe outside the front door. It took him another 3 hours to get his st together, and eventually he filled his car and did thd first trip.
He looked fking shattered on his return, so I gave him a portion of the chilli I'd made. And then he went to pack more stuff. Then he went out and bought a bottle of scotch and gave me a glass. It was rough stuff. I suggested he should perhaps stick to one glass because he had a long day ahead.
I woke up this morning with dreed. Expecting him to be in bed until lunch time. No. I came downstairs at 6:30 and he was gone, on his 1st trip of the day.
He got back about 8:30, and his mate came around and they took 2, cars in the next trip, about 10am he got back at midday and I gave him bacon and eggs.
He fell asleep on the sofa til 1:30 and then spent the next 2 hours packing the rest of his stuff into the car. Finally he hovered the room.
It's a bit dusty and his bathroom can't have been cleaned in weeks, but there's no damage, then I shook his hand and waved him off. I haven't changed the locks yet.
I'll clean the place up properly tomorrow night.

It's a relief to have the place to myself. Now to get it ready to sell.
