Find out the options open to you. There are some that HMRC don't like (pretty much everything offshore and anything which "Guaranteed 90% take home pay!") and some things they do. Legal solutions include: Agency PAYE, own limited company and umbrella company (CIS if you're in the construction business). These are all good ways - but the best one to suit you depends on your situation. - which is pretty much what our PH guys have said.

If you can't get to sleep one night, here's a good cure: Contractor Supermarket (dot com I think. Used to be Umbrella Supermarket before they got bigger). Gives you the options, ranks the companies and its free.

And the best bit, it has a panel of industry experts who will answer any question you have - for free!

And if you're a good sleep just remember to google it for those nights you need it.
