Hi

Just thought Id try posting on here because there seems some bright people looking for work...Im 1 of 4 people that run a company called Trinitel see www.trinitel.co.uk ...We are all technical and work is going well..Mainly through recommendations at the moment...we havent really got a Sales team...We have a good product which is our specialized hosted VOIP..We know when customers realise how much they will save and the features our system has, they will want to know more.( its also resillient )..We have the product we just need to let people know about it..We are looking for people to generate leads and cold call on local firms in their area...At first we will only pay commision, but the right people will be taken on and like I said at the moment we have no Sales, so if the company does go where we want it to, then there will be good oppurtunities for you..( if not, atleast youve gained some business to business selling experience)..
You just need to sell locally to you because we have a small office in London and one near Bristol..So we cover all of the southern part of the uk..( Birmingham and below at the moment)..
You dont need any experience but you need to have the right personality and ideally a drivers licence ( although possible telesales roles based from home might be coming up)...
We are not looking for people to give up good Sales jobs but for those who are keen, hardworking, have the right attitude and not in work then please reply on here or send me an email. Worth a shot before we start looking at agencies smile

So you want commission only sales people to sell into a market that is very competitive and your dont seem too bothered what their background is?

I suggest you work out exactly how you want to grow the business and target a full time, salaried sales person to go and do it. If you dont then approach an agency/call centre and pay them per result.

Doing something in between will mean you are constantly training sales people for 2-3 weeks at a time and then they disappear if they havent been successful.

Hi Russ,

If you want my honest opinion, steer clear of commission only sales guys, as a rough average, for every 100 people you take on, 2 will do what you expect of them, seriously. I used to do a lot of sales recruitment myself and have experience working on commission only roles and they never work out, ever.

The best thing I can recommend is to throw a day/hourly rate to the sales guy, even something like £100-£120 a day will get the interest of decent sales guys as long as you offer a good commission structure where they can earn twice that in a day+

The ideal person I always found as well was an older bloke or lady, maybe 40's/50's even 60's, as a rule of thumb stay clear of the young'uns (obviously there are exceptions!).

In my experience I found the older people who take on sales roles working from home will actually take it seriously and bring in some good figures but at the same time a lot of them will not work for you if they do not think the product/service is sellable, not saying yours isn't, mind.

Best of luck.

I really appreciate that bit of advice. Like I said we are more technical than Sales really..So I do take onboard someone with experience like yourself. Thanks for the info.

Russ,

Can you please email me further information on the vacancy.

Further product/company information would also be beneficial, i.e. what platform your hosted VoIP uses (Mitel 3600?), who you use to bill the minutes/charges, commission structures, customer base, target market etc.

Will you be attending the Convergence Summit South?

Regards

Nick
