If you're also on another Forum (ownersclub = recently joined) - you didn't share that much useful info!

Bloke in my class was Team Leader of the Red Arrows for a while, founded the Blades display team, too. (we were friends briefly at school but I doubt we'd know each other if we fell over each other now)
Spent some time with him earlier this year. Very nice guy.

Done that, it's the worst job I've ever done. Everythign is at least five years out of date and the paperwork requirements are excessive. Usually spend so much time producing pretty paperwork there's no time to do any design work.

Indeed, I spent a year working for a satellite manufacturer and it really wan't as fun/interesting/exciting as people think it might be!

One friend works as an Automotive Photographer, full time. He's on PH, though I met him through work.

Another friend works in the RAF, which I'd love to do. He's on PH.

Most of my other friends either do nothing very special or do something ultra-geeky (also on PH)!

2 mates are test drivers for Continental Tyres, spend most of their time getting paid to thrash cars around test tracks and work with OEMs advising on tyre selection. They are always given flash cars to borrow for evaluation. They say it isn't as fun as it sounds.......I don't believe them!

1 mate is the son of the President of Iraq. He is now working in US as Washington Advisor on Iraq.

used to know a bloke who was in The Regiment...

ETA - went to school with James Cracknell's sister, and actually thinking about it I went to Cub Scouts with James Cracknell - but he was hardly a "mate" and is a couple of years older than me.

I spent four years in the 1990s working for Formula One Administration, which involved attending all the F1 races around the world. Tough job, but someone had to do it biggrin

I really don't think it matters much what you do, every six months or so you'll get bored of it.
