Having been discussing my younger brothers future careers (see Dr/Paramedic thread) I have thought it might be worthwhile to see an adult career's advisor of some sort, just to see if there is anything out there I might prefer to change to.

I am 28 and currently work as a Producer in the film/TV industry based in London, if that helps.

Thanks guys.

You're at the early stages of any change. Go and find a decent, quite pub, serving good beer, with a few of your good friends who know you well. Steer the conversation in the direction you want over the first few beers, and discuss it over the next few.

When you have a definite destination, there will be plenty of people on here with helpful wisdom about how to get there.

Alternatively, do the same but with strangers, at Dirty Dick, near Liverpool Street Station, on Thu night...

What educational qualifications do you have? GCSEs, ALevels, degree?
Any other skills - languages perhaps?

Hi Lil' Joe, you could try taking a look on www.direct.gov.uk/nextstep

Yes, I work for them, but don't deliver the advice! You can also speak to an adviser on 0800 100 900.

Hope this helps
