Thanks. But there's no "M1" version of the old coupe style?

Do any of them come with proper LSDs?

The use of the M designation has been the subject of much debate and there are those that argue the M135i is not a proper M-car and should not be discussed on the M-power forum! The nearest thing to an M1 in the old shape was the 1M and there were a number of people who said that wasn't a proper M-car either!

The M135i doesn't have a proper LSD but I seem to recall reading that the M235i does; however, I suspect the final specification is yet to be determined.

The 1M is the old style and extremely desirable; they are pretty much depreciation proof and have an LSD.
The M135i is the newer hatch shape with no mechanical LSD.
I don't think the old 135i had an LSD but not certain on that one.

Yeah, just had a look on the classified, the proper "M coupe" is double the price of a 135i coupe.. Wider body and a slight retune. and the LSD! Love the idea of a 135 coupe, but can't handle being a one wheel peal kind of guy. heh ;D

Prices of lightly used examples are definitely tumbling.

No surprise if they offer discounts of 15pct to 18pct from new... I thought that was Citroen territory, not BMW.

That said.. M cars are known to be the worst depreciators around (Bar maybe 1M and CSl..). M3 cars are just atrocious, M5 you dont even want to look..

It does make it very tempting to stretch to a new one.

We shall see!

That's a very tempting deal.

Can I ask what the final balloon payment and annual mileage secured on this deal?

I'm toying with running the 330d or M135i as a company car. Common sense dictates the diesel but the heart shouting for petrol turbo power!

Can 40 mpg really be true?

That must be for an in stock car, over 20% discount. Very tempting, what part of the country is that??

Someone has just mentioned a proper diff being an option from Spring. Is this true? I'll be ordering one for sure if that's the case!
