I've got a Z3 rack in mine and it's much better than the OE item. Even an e46 M3 rack from ebay.de will be an improvement over stock.
What makes it better? Presumably a E46CS would be even quicker steering?houlbt said:
Want! It's not horrendous in terms of reserve guide either. I'm sure I saw a car elsewhere for close to £300K and that wasn't even a race winner, but more of a tribute

Probably ten years ago now but I went on a parts gathering mission to Mosley Motorsport in a van and this car was sat in his workshop. I couldn't get enough of it, it was for sale too for 40k iirc. I drove all the way home with my goodies racking my brains of how I could raise the cash to buy it. Should have thought harder !!
I think Nigel offered it to me for £38k.He also offered me the Bigazzi E30 M3 T car (ex Joachim Winklehock) for £55k iirc. fk, fk and fk again

That's got £500k in 10 years time written all over it. Was for sale at Amspeed late 2016 for £150k. Sold at Bonhams in 2011. Can't see hammer price but guide £88k - 110k. Some great stuff on the net about this car. The advert should have included some period photos and maybe a link to the SIlverstone race footage......marvellous car.
That's a good point on pushing the history a bit more, I'll chat to them about that. She's a lovely thing.mark.c said:
Gutting! An error I could apply to a few over the years, Sport Evo for 14k that I thought wasn't worth the extra over my 11.5k 1990 car, the 964RS I passed on at 23k
I haven't really got the hang of this
Ahh, now I did buy the 964 RS at £23k I haven't really got the hang of this
There was also the 993RS at £34k sold to Houlbt for £42k (but I'd spent £15k on it)
But the biggest "miss" of all ? A leggy 1995 993 GT2 for £65k back in 2005 ....

Will it be at the German Festival at Brands Hatch on August 19th/20th? There's an exclusive race for E30 M3's so should be quite a sight. Or should that be sound?
sadly (well a little) it won't be my decision to make if the car makes reserve and sells... but I will be there in August in my JTC car.Edited by houlbt on Monday 26th June 10:07
I wonder what the effect on the market will be, now that Sport Evos are over 25 years old and can be sold in the US?

IIRC That's the US company buying up lots of stock and refusing (regardless of offer!) to sell anything to anyone outside the US.http://enthusiastauto.com/qsearch/?form_request=56...
Whilst there are a lot of M3 fans in the US and clearly a lot of the well heeled car collectors will be interested in one. I'm not sure it's as universally loved as in Europe. I would imagine there's more money and interest in classic 911's in the states than E30s.
