Another one going to auction this month. Not especially clean under the bonnet, and not sure what that ABS sticker is on the clocks ? I'd guess similar money to the one just sold at Silverstone auctions.

Looks like a nice example !https://www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/bmw-e30-m3-90...
But how comes it has a Viscous Fan setup ? Or am I not seeing that correctly ?

Hmmm..
It has a current MoT but has just been put through another test, and has failed on things including:
Offside Rear Subframe mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded inner sill and arch (2.4.A.3)
Nearside Rear Upper Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded shock (2.4.A.3)
Offside Rear Upper Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded shock (2.4.A.3)
And, the viscous fan was fitted to Japanese and American cars, and some cars with aircon, but that fan is certainly not originally M3.
Also the missing bonnet insulation, naff pedals and red tape on the bumpers make me think this is a pass

Some people retro fit one, or they come on some US or Japanese imports I think? I fitted one as a "get me home" measure once.
Ok got it thanks !VIN suggests Euro Spec so must be a retrofit ! Perhaps being originally in Italy with its warmer climate..
This is quite low KMs. My one is almost identical 130,950 KM currently and also a Jan 87 build.
I am slowly getting into my one and will be sure to have lots of questions for the experts like yourself !
Secured a set of 16" E30 M3 BBS which will be going on soon, but may keep these MK Motorsport 17" for some period modding fun.
I think the DTM style exhaust will have to go though, and swap the E46 M3 rear badge for the correct E30 one

I actually think that ABS sticker might have been factory or dealer fit back in the day.
It was the 1980's when ABS was just starting to be fitted to mainstream cars.
My dad had an M3 in around 1989-90 and i seem to vaguely remember it.

Correct...the ABS sticker was fitted at the factory on the early cars.
From the photos it look like a nice original car (apart from the DTM tail pipes and Halfords pedal covers). I like the cloth interior.

All 325i's also had factory fit ABS from October '86 build date.
The orange text ABS sticker on the instrument cluster was an early thing and only used on pre September '87 build date cars if I recall correctly.
My November '86 built M3 still has it.... temptation has nearly got the better of me to remove it on more than one occasion as I think it looks cheap and un BMW like but its originality refrains me otherwise despite the various other non original aspects of my car.
How can that engine bay get 4/5 stars on appearance?
MOT history,
Mileage 130,048 miles
MOT test number 1438 9337 2831
Test location unavailable until further notice
Reason(s) for failure
Brake fluid warning lamp illuminated (3.6.G.2)
Nearside Front Suspension arm has excessive play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
Offside Rear Subframe mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded inner sill and arch (2.4.A.3)
Nearside Rear Upper Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded shock (2.4.A.3)
Offside Rear Upper Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded shock (2.4.A.3)
Body gets a 4/5 (almost pristine) with excessive corrosion and same for suspension with a 'cattle trucked' balljoint, who assessed this car, Ray Charles?

To aid in badge placement if you don't already have this.

Any E30 M3 can have one fitted in seconds though. You just unscrew the cap covering the thread and screw one on. I've seen a few with them fitted when the electric fans have started to play up.
Indeed. I fitted one to car that was going to live in the south of France as despite the electric fan working fine, the owner wanted peace of mind.ArmaghMan said:

Whats a really really mint sport evo making these days?
What's the mileage/Kms?I think one with a couple of hundred miles might make £200k.
Would love to know how much the one with 116km that ended up at EAG in the states was being sold for.
