They were the Sound System package speakers on the rear shelf, Option code S675A, which had 13cm mids in the front kick panels with tweeters mounted in the doors and these 13cm mid and tweeters on the rear shelf with a small power amp located in the LHS of the boot behind the trim panel.https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/pack...

Possibly because of being more track focussed? Although you could always put it back to being a road car? Buy an interior, remove cage and repair floor, assuming it was properly fitted. I imagine you could easily spend £5k but still seems fairly priced if the condition is as suggested by ML. Looks great in white too!

A lot of money for a tatty interior! For a “Coupe”. If only the vendor had read this:

105K Euros, 180K Kms. UK location.
Price seems strong to me, theres no mention of history, just the books being present. Id be getting it checked over by a specialist (Birds perhaps given they are relatively local to Heathrow)

How come the ML car is so cheap, is it because it is not an Evo?
You can still get a nice road car for £40- 45K , so I don't think it's especially cheap. I can't say i'd be rushing to see it, unless I intended to use it in the way its been converted to. Anyone wanting to convert it back will have plenty of work to do and bits are either NLA or extremely expensive. Finding seats would be a real pain in the bum, headliner NLA , C pillar trim covers NLA, carpet only now comes in black, although you might be able to get a LHD 2 door carpet, boot carpet NLA and I think some of the other interior trim bits.
Then there is the time its spent being used hard on the track and what's the state of play with the engine , gearbox and diff.
As much as I like M3s , as a track car, they made more sense when people were converting ratty £4K cars into track toys.
I take your point on interior prices (although it only needs seats and a parcel shelf from what I was told) I'd still say this is very fairly priced when compared to some of the cars sold in the past year or so. Personally I'd lose those seats for a more period Recaro or similar and just enjoy it as is.

The sketchiness of the "car in the UK, we're based in Portugal, car was from japan" would get my spidey senses up.

I wouldn't regard Frank @ RS Garage as being 'sketchy'. Price seems strong to me, theres no mention of history, just the books being present. Id be getting it checked over by a specialist (Birds perhaps given they are relatively local to Heathrow)
