Ref the carpet, I ordered a new one for mine and the only colour left was black, the original grey(ish) was NLA. I also ordered the rear section and the only colour is the original and I couldn't get black despite returning 6 of them through the dealer. This was a few years ago now so things may have changed.
Can you not get it dyed elsewhere to be the correct colour?AW10 said:

And is it just me or does the paint on the driver's door not match the wings? Or is it because of the different angles of the panels?doesn't seem to show any errors.
In fact the sills look satin in these pics, so not sure without seeing the car in real life regarding paint quality.
On a related note, whilst certain things are wrong. "M Technic" sill covers for example. I can live with the blue throttle body caps. And whilst the PAS reservoir cap has that green circle on it. Is it even possible, for BMW themselves to get the correct part several decades later on. Are we expecting too much for a concours car?
Do these problems occur for a Ferrari Daytona restored to "Ferrari Classiche" standards?

Anyone else sick of a certain turbo'd car constantly popping up on feeds?
I'm more sick of every 2 bit journo saying "its basically a singer" when its just a mildly modified car. AFAIK it doesn't change the suspension beyond the trick dampers. It's not running Grp A stuff or anything bespoke.Anyway, heres a nice video from Catchpole at Carfection with a SportEvo

Why do SE's just look better than even a stock 215 car?
2 cars. Yet the SE has more "presence" I know the wings are slightly different, and obviously the wheels are painted a different colour, but there's another visual thing going on around the front end, that I can pinpoint. Is it just the extendable splitter? A trick of the light?

Combination of the colour, front wings, red bumper tape, front venturi & splitter, the lower front stance, the front grills, brake cooling ducts, need I go on.

I offered them my car as a donor and got the distinct impression that they are not exactly bursting with orders..Singer on the other hand would bite your arm off for a well priced 964 donor! If that car came up for sale what do you think it'd be worth?

Not sure what you mean by "venturi" I thought base front bumpers were the same design on all variants. Which obviously you could attach the Evo 2 or SE splitter to.Do SE's run a lower front ride height? I always assumed the suspension was the same as the other cars.
I think it's just the splitter arrangement tbh. The shape of the attachment gives it a few mms of extra depth between the bottom of the bumper and the surface of the splitter itself. (see the bit in green)

I assume you were trying to sell it to them? Much as I think Lords operation is not financially viable long term, (or even different enough from every other modified M3 out there) I don't think there's enough of a shortage of E30 M3s for them to need to take on every car offered to them. I think Singer have more than enough 964s to be getting on with
All these cars are customer cars waiting to go into production. They aren't just stockpiling 964s for the sake of it.
What I find interesting about Singer is that when they were doing the original clay work. (to make the CF panels)
They have subtly changed some of the lines of the car. To quote Dickinson "Take some of the jowls out of the car"
https://youtu.be/_3WswVaHLH4?t=2m13s
Whereas Singer started with the Fuchs wheels and tyres they wanted (in 17" so larger than OEM) and then worked around that to get the look to the car they wanted. I think Redux missed some tricks here. They took a standard car and bolted on bigger wheels, trick suspension and some interior tinsel. They didn't re-profile any of the car to give it a subtly different look. AFAIK they haven't gone to town on CF panels in general either like Singer do. Until a company really sits down and assesss every single part they cant really be in the same league as Singer

And yes the Sport Evo had 15mm lower front springs identified by blue paint markers the black springs and have a unique part number.
I have a set of them on my M3.

The 'venturi is a section of the Sport evo front spoiler set up that is underneath and not visible. Its often not fitted when people fit Sport evo spoilers to non Sport evo cars.

The Redux car is something I don't find all that offensive at all. I don't think the turbo option would be for me, but that seems to be an option.
The car isn't as developed as any Singer, so hopefully not priced accordingly.
Considering some of the early sketches they put out were a horrible mishmash of BMW signatures ( 70s CSL roof hoop , for one E46 duck tail etc) , the finished car is actually OK looking. It also looks a damn sight better than another company that tried to cash-in on the Singer vibe and the E30 M3, and came up with the genius idea of sticking in an old E36 M3 engine and having it decked out by Halfords budget accessory department.
