The problem with needing a ltttle tlc is it never goes that way.
I would say most cars now tend to be fully restored or very good original condition.
Which would command very high prices.
You might be lucky and find something that indeed needs tlc, but it can really spiral out of control once you start digging.
Then you end up spending almost as much or in some cases more than a restored example.

Your right there! however I don't mind a project as an ex Bmw tech and don't mind a bit of welding!
It's my dream car!!

I had a csl that I sold to get back into Into E30 M3 ownership.
Csl made sense on the track.
In the real world on the road, the E30 made much more sense as it was more fun to drive at slower speeds. Its great to have all the power and poise you get with an E46, but I wouldn't sell my E30 M3 now to get back into E46 M3 or even csl ownership.

Looked just like mine, same colour, year and virtually mileage, could I ask what you sold for as its good to keep up with real world prices, fine to PM if you dont want the world to know!
