Hi my name is Aleksander, and I am from Norway.

I am looking for an e46 M3 to buy in the Uk. I see it is a lot of cars to choose from on this site and I have sent e-mails to somebody, but not very many replies.

im thinking that is beacuse they are afraid og freud or something, but im totally legit and in about a months time i have saved me enough money to travel to UK and buy a car.

So if somebody have some pointers or are willing to help me out with setting me in contact with some sellers that would be great.

my pricerange is 5000 - 6500 £ smile and i will pay cash.

-The car i want to buy is an coupe (not cabrio).
-Black interior.
-Manual
-working so i can drive it home.

hope you can help. feel free to email me at a_strom@hotmail.com

Regards Aleksander

The budget is low for a nice E46 M3 especially if you are going to drive it home. At about 7500-10000 is more likely.

As said, increase your budget to £7500 and you should do OK. Do bear in mind that even mid 7's is still 'budget' and you should expect to spend a couple of thousand in the first year or so.

the thing is that the car is going to be parted out. im using engine and drivetrain in another bmw i have here in norway. and the chassis is going on the racetrack, so the car doesent have to be perfect. as long as it runs nice and it drives properly smile

But it won't run nice and drive properly for your budget; the suspension will need replacing at the very least. I would recommend you buy from a salvage auction instead, for example a lightly damaged car that you can repair.

This is incorrect... you can get a decent car for not a lot, just be smart about it...

Greetings to a fellow Viking. I have to say, you will be fine getting a car at that price. My advice would be to get a boat/flight over here, bring cash, and you WILL find a car for sale at 6k. Visit them, show the cash. There are so many for sale. Look on Autotrader. If you're parting the car then you will be fine.
