Always loved the look of the Z3 M Coupe's,but surprised to see how much they have rised in price in just over 18 months...! Can't get anything much short of £18K now with less than 100k miles... And not a cat D...!

They've been going up for a while. Short supply of proper cars.

I do think they will be the next BMW yes cars just like the M3 CSL's... Weren't that many made and low mileage cars are getting scarce.....

Although I might be a bit biased having an low mileage Dakar Yellow one tucked away....

Much more desirable than Pheonix Yellow in my opinion. Hold on to it... They don't cost much to maintain and will definitely continue to rise.

IIRC wasn't Dakar only available on the S50's? The mega appreciation has only really been seen on the rarer S54's.

Yes S54's were only available in Pheonix and S50's in Dakar which I much prefer,so much so I also have an low mileage 840 Sport individual and a M3 Evo Cab also in Dakar parked next to it and hopefully there on the two....?

Where??? biggrin

It is the only car I regret not buying, I was going to buy one when I sold my CSL, lovely Steel Grey S54 came up, but sold before I had a chance to go and see it.
Then ended up not being able to find one and getting another M3, but great cars.

Awesome car though I remember test driving one back in the day and feeling like it was a better car for someone under 6ft!

Are they actually any good though? I don't remember them getting great reviews when new.

They got rave reviews...the M Roadster got very mixed reviews but the coupe's stiffer shell was mile ahead dynamically. I had an E36 M3 when these came out....drove the M Roadster which made the M3 feel like a bus but the M Coupe was the pinnacle of M Cars as a drivers car at that time in my book.
