M5 to M6 Gran Coupe

The M6GC is one of the best practical cars I've ever owned. I much prefer the looks to the M5, its ultra comfortable, stupidly fast for its size, has decent traction (dry roads help..!), and I've spent the last few weeks looking for something to buy as a replacement but not seen anything I fancy as much.
what colour combo did you go for?I'm a real M5 fan had them all from the first V8 one to the F10, I have just swapped my F10 for a new M6 with competition pack and have to say I really prefer it!! Its quicker and feels more sorted and more of an occasion, and that's saying something as I love M5's!!
If you do swap you wont regret it but saying that the M5 is not exactly an old bucket is it.....
Oh and I'm no where near 50 so don't get the old mans car comment??

Drove the M6GC today, very nice interior much more modern than M5 but steering felt like it had slightly less feel in standard mode, much too quiet as well.
Looks fantastic compared to the 5 series and clearly a class above.
But the drive was disappointing in comparison so much so that I didn't want to hand over a big lump to change. Jumped back in my F10 M5 and instantly felt at home.... a better more focused drive IMHO.
You should have driven the M6 GC Comp Pack, different feel altogether.Looks fantastic compared to the 5 series and clearly a class above.

EDIT: I am an old tosser @ 65, but look 50.

I went from an E39 M5 to an M6 Gran Coupe with Competition Pack.
I had an extended test drive in an F10 M5 and it just did not tick enough boxes for me. One of the things I disliked was the height of the dash, this meant that for me I was sitting too high and I like to sit low. The biggest difference, apart from just aesthetics, between the F10 M5 and F06/F12/F13 M6 is the height of the seats. In the E39 M5 I have the seat as low as it can go, in the M6 it's as high as it can go and it's still way lower than the E39 (and F10). This low position can make it more difficult to judge the car in confined spaces, but the 'Top View' camera helps a lot. If you compare the dimensions of the F10 and F06, there is not actually much in it, the F06 has a little more overhang at the front which makes up all the length difference (101mm)
it's very slightly narrower than the F10 (13mm), obviously it's a bit lower (75mm).

YES not much in it, in fact I did not even notice the change in size from the F10 M5 too the F06.I had an extended test drive in an F10 M5 and it just did not tick enough boxes for me.
