Why will it be worth more than 27.5? Call a dealer or Waac with a 14 plate. It’s about 27k and the new model will be out so I’d guess 25k.

Thats not very encouraging. Thought BMW were a little pessimistic with GFV?

Frankly that deal sucks. You’ve been sold in a monthly payment. 37k for 4 years. It matters not what the GFV is, it will be zero equity. The questions I would be asking include, R.I.P. and net price. I’d guess the gfv is low. 24,500?
Could you give me a little more info (usually buy second hand <45K mls and slap the BMW insured warranty on them). What am i looking for in your statements above to bring to the negotiating table?

I dont have GFV numbers, Net Price can be calculated i guess once i get balloon payment minus payments + deposit as it's 0%.

You're right, I wanted a sensible monthly with a deposit value that roughly matched my current car PX... Happy to take advice as i've never dealt with BMW new car sales before.

The 0% is good if your keeping it 3 or 4 years as you will save £6/7k in interest. If only keeping it a year or so the lack of big discount will cost you a lot as these cars are only worth high £40k after a year. If you could get the old discounts of 16/17% and 0% finance then that would be a great deal.
I'd be keeping this until at least the legal "throw it back" break period, which is about 3 yrs in i believe when half the value has been paid off, probably the full term.

What's your GFV?

I'm looking at M3 CP DCT and getting 10% off list, £8k in, 8k miles pa and £549 per month. So yours seems similar to mine.
Hey as7920, could you give me the OTR value of the car you've been quoted? If it's close to mine with only 8k vs 11k in, that seems like a better deal!

Thanks for the advice, Would the discount upfront affect the dealers FMV after the PCP period (AKA, could they discount more, but at the same time decide that the FMV was lower, basically zeroing out any gains from the up front discount?)

The future values are set by BMW, after that the market decides what it's worth not the dealer so the discount you get has no effect. What I would say to anyone using 0% is don't be putting in £10/11k deposit as your borrowing money for free, you might as well stick that money in the bank and draw off it for the extra monthly, even if you only get 1% it's better than giving it to BMW. I'd happily borrow a million quid off them if they gave it to me for free smile

That's a good discount and roughly £2k cheaper over the 4 years than my 0% but requires a larger initial outlay up front

I'm not suggesting you can negotiate a better deal. I'm simply saying, in my opinion it's not a great deal. I will concede that your deposit is rather low which spikes the instalments. 4 year old M3 at the end though and out of warranty. I appreciate also that the want factor is high for you.

Unless I’m mistaken, the 0.9% apr is for cars reg’d before the end of the year, only.

It’s not a bad deal but you’d possibly do better on a pre-reg if you can find one in time (I believe you can still get the 0.9% on pre-reg but delivery mileage cars).

The problem I had when I was considering new was once you started adding optional extras it started getting a little expensive. CP & DCT are the only options on that deal. If you don’t mind not having any other options then it’s not an issue but it’s a very basic car.

This is true.

Mine is relatively modestly spec’d but still just shy of £70k list price with the ‘essential’ options.
