Same. (E30 M3)

Made the mistake of using some supermarket fuel last year. Spent several hundred pounds trying to cure a subsequent misfire and flat spot. (new lambda, TPS, plugs etc etc) As last hope I drained the tank and replaced the fuel. Misfire gone.

99, either Shell or Tesco but Shell if possible, especially if they have the Lego cars wink

On the odd occasion I've been caught short and had to go to BP I'll stick a gallon of two of their 97 in to get me to the nearest 99 gas station. And I wouldn't dream of putting 95 into a car with a specific output >100bhp/litre!

There's a thread about this on m3cutters just now and somebody has claimed he always uses 95 and doesn't notice a difference.

For the sake of an extra four or five quid per tank it's a no brainer IMHO, if somebody object to paying that then perhaps an M isn't the car for them!

Vpower; not just for power, but for additives.

Thats my understanding, its mainly for its cleaning properties. Does anyone feel they get better performance too ?

BP ultimate is the fuel my e92 runs best on. Then Sainsbury's super.

On VPower and tesco 99 is runs like a dog, and is even worse when I've tried it on the odd few tanks of 95.

I've never run a car that is more sensitive to fuel. It's bordering on ridiculous.

Half of me thinks it might be an early warning sign for a throttle actuation problem, but it has been like that since being brand new and I put VPower in for the first few hundred milestone king they were just like that.

Only ever use V Power or anything with >95 RON, and that's for every car I have owned

Esso or Shell as I pass them on the way to work. Never noticed a difference between any fuel I've ever used though. Always surprised to see people claiming marked differences between different kinds of super unleaded.

Texaco or Shell V Power.

Both excellent fuels.

Only use V Power where possible, but can't say I've ever noticed a difference running normal 95 RON though.

But what is a few p/litre in the grand scheme of things...
