I'm considering a 1M purchase, the car has full service pack being sold with the balance. The run-in service was done at 1450 miles, which is obviously 200 miles late. It's a good point for negotiation for me, but could be the opposite when I come to sell!

Walk away or not let it put me off???

Wouldn't worry so much personally, I nearly brought one last year on 1375 but judging by the history, knew it was taken care of very regularly. Maybe owner took it on a long trip and couldn't help but pass the run-in mileage.

200 miles isn't bad. If it wasn't done at all then that's when I would walk. Could use it to negotiate a bit off

No way is 200 miles worth a quibble let alone worrying about any issues as a result. IMO.

Exactly this. 2,000 miles would put me off. 200 miles is absolutely fine.

things like this always make me giggle a bit.
I can imagine some people plan their millage so it gets to the dealership bang on the required millage.

Imagine the panic being one mile away from the dealership and hitting the required service millage!
Start pushing the car to the dealership lol

My M5 was done at 1400 miles or so too and that's within the threshold (can't remember what it is though).

+200 miles not a problem and will not affect any future warranty work.

It's only if the service is vey late (1800 miles +) or missed altogether that things become tricky or indeed pointless when it comes to claiming warranty work.
